These terms cover your use of betterpetco.com and anything you buy from us. Placing an order means you accept them. If you do not, please do not order.
Who you are dealing with
We as Better Pet & Co.
Who may order
You need to be the age of majority where you live, or have the consent of someone who is. You may not use this store for anything unlawful, and you may not use it in a way that interferes with it working for other people.
Products, prices and availability
Prices are in the currency shown at checkout and include the taxes and duties stated there. We can change prices, withdraw a product, or limit quantities at any time without notice. Colours and finishes on a screen are an approximation of the object.
If a price is wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour an obvious error. We will tell you if that happens.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch it, and we may decline an order, for example where we suspect fraud, where an address cannot be delivered to, or where quantities suggest resale. If we decline, you are refunded in full.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the address and contact details you give us.
What we say about our products
We describe what a product does, and on every product page we describe what it does not do. We do not make medical claims. Nothing on this site treats, cures or prevents any condition in an animal, and nothing here is veterinary advice. If your pet has a health problem, see a vet.
Refunds and shipping
Governed by our Refund policy and Shipping policy, which form part of these terms.
What you see before you pay
Before you confirm an order we show you the product and what it does, the price of each item, shipping cost, taxes, duties, and the total you will be charged. Delivery estimates are in the Shipping policy, and the refund routes are in the Refund policy. Both are linked from every page.
If any of that is missing or wrong at the moment you order, tell us and we will cancel and refund you. Consumer protection law in several Canadian provinces gives you a right to cancel an internet agreement where those details were not disclosed, and we are not going to make you cite it.
Language
We trade in English. If you would rather deal with us in French, write to support@betterpetco.com in French and we will answer in French.
Reviews and anything else you send us
If you send us a review, a photo or a suggestion, you keep ownership of it and you give us permission to publish it on the site and in our marketing, with the first name and city you supplied. You confirm it is your own work and true. We may decline to publish, and we may remove anything unlawful or abusive. But we do not remove a review for being negative, and we answer critical reviews in public rather than deleting them.
Your privacy
Covered by our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Things outside our control
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for third-party sites we link to.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law, including under provincial consumer protection legislation in Canada, and if any part of these terms conflicts with those rights, those rights win.
Ending it
Either of us can stop: you by not using the store, us by closing your access if these terms are breached. Anything already ordered is still covered by the refund and shipping policies.
If part of this is unenforceable
The rest still stands.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws, Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with the date it took effect.
