Why does this cost more than the cheap ones I've seen?
Because we designed it instead of picking it off a catalogue. We chose the parts, paid for samples, changed the ones that were wrong, and used the result at home for months before it went on sale. The cheap ones we bought along the way shed their own bristles, lost their grip within a month, or turned up as something other than the photo. What you are paying for is the version that survived that, and a page that tells you what it still does not do.
