The first size I ordered was a little loose, so measuring the paws carefully is important. The correct size stays on much better and gives our dog noticeably more grip on the kitchen tiles. One sock sometimes turns after a lot of running, but they work well for normal walking.

My cat sleeps in the same chair every afternoon and always leaves a layer of white fur behind. Two or three passes gather nearly all of it into one strip that is easy to remove. I have used it dozens of times and it still works just as well.

It removes our husky's hair surprisingly well and feels sturdy. My only advice is to shake off the water and leave it somewhere open after rinsing because it takes a little while to dry. Ours now stays beside the couch because we use it almost every day.

Not strictly. The pad works on a bare seat, it just does not protect it. The cover is what keeps hair, claws and wet fur off your upholstery; the pad is what makes him lie down on it.
The backing is non-slip and the pad is heavy enough to stay put. There are no straps, which is deliberate: straps are what stop people taking it out to wash it.
Yes, machine washable. Shake the hair off outside first and let it dry fully before it goes back in the car, or the car will smell of damp for a week.
The plush compresses, as plush does. The base underneath is what holds the shape, which is the difference between this and a folded blanket after twenty trips.
Black, brown or grey. Pick the one closest to your interior rather than the one closest to your dog: it lives in your car every day and you want to stop noticing it.
It works as a mat by the door or in a crate, and plenty of people end up using it that way in summer. It is sized for a back seat, so measure the crate first.
